BNL forum on financing tech start-ups
A panel of business and legal experts will discuss how to finance a technology-based start-up on July 25 at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
The panel will address questions on how to make a technology-based business attractive to investors, a lab spokeswoman said, and will take questions from the audience.
Panelists will include Jim Chinitz, chief executive officer of Melville-based Population Diagnostics Inc.; Murat Ozsu, chief executive of Southampton-based hotel management website innRoad.com, and patent attorney Steve Winick of Roslyn Heights.
Walter G. Copan, manager of Brookhaven National Laboratory’s office of technology commercialization and partnerships, will moderate. The event is scheduled for 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the lab in Upton.
The workshop is open to the public. Advance online registration is required, with a $10 registration fee. Registration is available at Click here to register at www.bnl.gov/efw/.
