Commack real estate attorney Smith-Mines launched “Boating Times Long Island” magazine in 2007 with her husband Barry Mines. The Twitter account has given editor-in-chief Smith-Mines the ability to chat with folks as far away as Australia and New Zealand on seagoing issues. And while she tweets a lot of links to her own content, she aggregates from numerous sources on serious subjects like boating while intoxicated.
