Graham, a health journalist, and Ramsey, an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at Columbia University, say what you eat definitely affects how happy you are. First, flee from the Modern American Diet -- "we call it MAD" -- of simple sugars and refined carbs, which leads to "Unhappy Meals" that "can expand your waistline and starve your brain at the same time."
