'Boomer & Carton' to be simulcast on CBS Sports Network

'Boomer & Carton' on CBSSN
CBS Sports Network will simulcast WFAN's "Boomer & Carton" morning show beginning in January. The WFAN program, which had been seen on MSG until its contract with that network expired in September, plans to continue focusing on New York-area sports despite its presence on a nationally distributed channel.

USC hires Sarkisian
Washington's Steve Sarkisian has accepted the University of Southern California football coaching job. Sarkisian is a former USC assistant under Pete Carroll and has been at Washington for five seasons, going 34-29 in Seattle. He'll be the permanent replacement for Lane Kiffin, who was fired after five games this season. Interim coach Ed Orgeron, who had replaced Kiffin, resigned after he was passed over.

Shabazz Napier hit a 15-foot jumper as time expired to lift 12th-ranked Connecticut (8-0) to a 65-64 men's basketball victory over visiting No. 15 Florida (6-2).
Hofstra women win easily
Freshman Krystal Luciano scored a season-high 17 points to lead four Pride players with career highs as host Hofstra (3-3) crushed Concordia, 101-38, in women's basketball.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 28 points and 10 rebounds as the host Portland Trail Blazers defeated Indiana, 106-102, snapping the Pacers' seven-game winning streak. Paul George had 43 points for the Pacers (16-2), who have the NBA's best record . . . Led by Ryan Anderson's 36 points in 57 minutes, the visiting New Orleans Pelicans outlasted ing the Chicago Bulls, 131-128, in triple overtime . . . Trevor Ariza scored 24 points as host Washington beat the Orlando Magic, 98-80. The Wizards (9-9) reached .500 for the first time since it split its first four games of the 2009-10 season . . . Tim Duncan made a jumper with 0.4 seconds left to lift the host San Antonio Spurs to a 102-100 win over the Atlanta Hawks. Duncan had 23 points and 21 rebounds . . . Gordon Hay scored 29 points as the host Utah Jazz beat the Houston Rockets, 109-103.
