Boys & Girls Club event in Locust Valley

Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club in Locust Valley will hold its annual Day for Kids celebration Sept. 17 from 1 to 5 p.m. at its facilities at 135 Forest Ave.

The free event will feature carnival games, rides and other family oriented entertainment. Sponsorship opportunities, from $500 to $2,000, are available for those who wish to support the club’s mission of providing after-school and summer programs for Locust Valley-area children.

The club — dedicated in 1950 and named in memory of the son of the family who donated the Forest Avenue site — now provides about 80 activities to 1,700 children annually, officials said.
