The Brentwood Public Library is hosting a workshop Tuesday to help small business owners learn about various financing opportunities.

Representatives from Citibank, Long Island Development Corp. and Long Island Small Business Assistance Corp. will discuss how business owners can get money for their companies through micro, government and traditional bank loans.

“We’re doing it as a financial education course,” said Xibe Solis, Brentwood’s career librarian. “We hope people can see that there are different options out there — not just high interest loans.”

The event, aimed at helping small business owners and those looking to start businesses, begins at 9 a.m. at the library, at 34 Second Ave. It is free and open to any Suffolk County resident.
