Brett Burian, June - 2011 Scholar Artist

Brett Burian is a gifted actor who is extremely dedicated to his craft. As a Syosset High School senior, active in many of the school’s performance groups, Brett balances his artistic endeavors with his athletic passions; primarily as two-year captain of Syosset's varsity volleyball team.

Brett currently serves as the treasurer of The Association of Creative Thespians, Syosset High School’s drama club. While maintaining an A-plus average in his course studies, Brett managed to master roles such as Ching Ho in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Chad Danforth in High School Musical. Brett is the president of Choral Pride, Syosset’s all male a cappella group and a member of the Chamber Singers, an audition-based choir. In December, 2010, he performed with the New York All-State Mixed Chorus.

Brett credits his older sister, Heather, a 2007 Scholar Artist, for introducing him to the joys of theater performance.
