Briarcliffe College to host arts biennial
The Patchogue Arts Biennial will be from Oct. 22 to Nov. 13 at Briarcliffe College’s Exhibition Hall.
The event, hailed as “Long Island’s largest arts exhibit of its kind” by organizers, presents the work of artists from Brooklyn to the East End.
“The goal of the event is to expand the communities view as to the trends, function and purposes of art in the 21st century,” the Patchogue Arts Council said in a statement. “The Patchogue Arts Biennial will feature artists representing a broad cross-section of artistic creativity that will each be given space to exhibit a representative body of work.”
The event’s opening reception is scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 29 at Briarcliffe, 225 W. Main St., Patchogue. Hours of operation are Tuesdays through Fridays from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
Admission is free. More information is available at PatchogueArtsBiennial.com.
