Bridget Jules and Kelsey Cohen each had six goals and an assist to lead Baldwin over Hewlett, 16-11, in the non-league girls lacrosse opener for both teams Monday.
Kyle Halpern and Olivia Epstein each scored four goals for Hewlett.
Oceanside 15, Seaford 8: Alison Schwasnick had four goals and Christina McCabe, Cassie Cesario and Kelsey Williams each scored three times for Oceanside in its non-league opener.Carey 14, Sewanhaka 2: Cheyenne Samson had four goals and Amanda Guido had three for Carey in a non-conference opener.
Locust Valley 10, East Meadow 5: Kameron Palagonia had three goals and three assists to lead Locust Valley in its non-league opener. Belle Andrea added three goals and an assist and Lindsay Blestein had two goals and an assist for Locust Valley. Cassandra Vnook made four saves. BOYS LACROSSELawrence 15, Holy Trinity 12: Jordan Fredricks scored three of his five goals in the fourth quarter to lift Lawrence in its non-league opener. Sean Moran added four goals and Tom Terino had three for the Golden Tornados. Melik Mavruk made 12 saves.
