McCoy, Harrison both out

Quarterback Colt McCoy is expected to play for the Browns before this season is over, although he still has not been cleared by the medical staff and still is getting headaches after a hit by the Steelers' James Harrison on Sunday. McCoy was sent home to rest Friday for the fourth time this week. Harrison's appeal of his one-game suspension for his helmet-to-helmet hit on McCoy was denied by the NFL.

In other NFL news, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (high ankle sprain) was limited in practice Friday but has not been ruled out of Monday's game at San Francisco . . . Titans quarterback Matt Hasselbeck (calf) will start for Tennessee at Indianapolis . . . Texans receiver Andre Johnson will miss his second straight game with a strained left hamstring when Houston hosts Carolina.

Penguins fall to Senators

Jason Spezza had two goals and two assists to lead the host Ottawa Senators to a 6-4 win over Pittsburgh. The teams totaled eight goals in the second period. With the loss, the Penguins remain tied with the Rangers for second place in the Atlantic Division with 38 points. The Penguins are 1-3 since Sidney Crosby again was sidelined with concussion-like symptoms . . . Scott Niedermayer had his No. 27 retired as host New Jersey won its third straight, topping the Pacific Division-leading Stars, 6-3. Niedermayer helped the Devils win the Stanley Cup in 1995, 2000 and 2003.
