Park, Gal tie for lead

Hee Young Park birdied three of the final four holes Saturday for a 3-under 69 and a share of the third-round lead with Sandra Gal (71) at 7 under in the LPGA Tour's season-ending Titleholders tournament in Orlando, Fla.

Suzann Pettersen (68) is a stroke back. Paula Creamer (71) is at 5 under. She's winless this year. "That's what I want. I want to go against the best players head-to-head," Creamer said. "If it's my day, it's my day, and if not, I know what I need to work on."

Top-ranked Yani Tseng had a 66 -- the best round of the day -- to match Na Yeon Choi (75) at 4 under.

TENNIS

Federer honored twice

Roger Federer has picked up two honors at the ATP World Tour Awards in London at the end of his first season without a Grand Slam since 2002. Federer was voted the fans' favorite for the ninth straight year and won the Sportsmanship Award for the seventh time in eight years. Novak Djokovic receives the No. 1 award for ending the season as the top-ranked player and Alex Bogomolov Jr. of the United States was voted the most improved player of the year.

Another win for Brodeur

Martin Brodeur held Tampa Bay scoreless for 51 minutes, David Clarkson had a goal and an assist, and the New Jersey Devils hung on for a 4-2 victory over the Lightning in Tampa, Fla. Brodeur made 21 saves en route to his NHL-record 629th career win.

Manchester clubs break clear

Host Manchester City sent NewcastleUnited to its first defeat of the season, a 3-1 victory that left first-place City as the only team in the English Premier League without a loss. Second-place Manchester United edged Swansea, 1-0. The defending champions are five points out of first place. The two Manchester clubs have broken away from the pack. Newcastle is another four points back in third.

BOXING

Grant KOs Botha

American Michael Grant, 39, knocked out South Africa's Francois Botha, 43, with a right hand in the 12th round of their fight in Johannesburg to claim the vacant WBF heavyweight title.
