Thunderstorm stops Tiger

Tiger Woods is going to have to wait one more day to try to reclaim No. 1 in the world. Moments after Woods made a 10-foot birdie putt on the second hole at Bay Hill in Orlando, Fla., a vicious thunderstorm packing gusts that topped out at 62 mph interrupted the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational and wiped out play until today. Woods, who leads by three shots, is going after his eighth win at Bay Hill, which would return him to No. 1 in the world ranking for the first time since the last week of October 2010.

Recari takes Kia Classic

Spain's Beatriz Recari, 25, made an 18-foot birdie putt from the fringe on the second hole of a playoff with I.K. Kim to win the LPGA Kia Classic in Carlsbad, Calif. Recari closed with a 2-over-par 74 to match Kim (71) at 9 under at Aviara.

Busch avoids wreck, sneaks in

Kyle Busch earned his first win of the season in Fontana, Calif., after Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano wrecked on the final lap of a thrilling finish.

Rivals Hamlin and Logano made contact while they raced side-by-side in their first race since the drivers confronted each other last week in Bristol, Tenn. Logano hit the outside wall and Hamlin hit the inside wall.

Hamlin eventually was airlifted to a hospital. NASCAR didn't immediately have an update on his condition.

Defending Fontana champion Tony Stewart confronted Logano after the race and shoved the younger driver before teammates pulled them apart.

Busch took advantage of his remarkable stroke of luck to pick up Joe Gibbs Racing's first victory at Fontana.

"They forgot about me. I knew they were going to," Busch said. "We had a good run on the top side, and they were messing with each other so bad that they took each other down. I was just hoping I could get by before they took me with [them]."

Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished second and took over the lead in points.

Dumervil had 631/2 sacks in seven seasons in Denver. He agreed to reduce his 2013 salary from $12 million to $8 million, but the paperwork didn't reach the NFL offices in time and the Broncos were forced to release him on March 15. The sides continued negotiating, but the Ravens swooped in.
