Assemb. Dean Murray and Brookhaven Tax Assessor Jim Ryan have scheduled a tax grievance workshop for town taxpayers on April 7 in Medford.

Murray (R-East Patchogue), who also represents Medford, said the workshop will help residents learn how to effectively appeal their property tax assessments. Residents are also welcome to bring other tax-related questions, he said.

The workshop is scheduled to take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Medford Fire Department, at 171 Oregon Ave. in Medford, Murray said.

Residents who plan to attend are asked to RSVP by calling Murray’s office at 631-207-0073, where they can also learn more information about the workshop.
