Brookhaven, LIPA, Renewable Energy Long Island to jointly host symposium

The Town of Brookhaven plans to host a discussion of renewable energy systems next week in Farmingville.

Town officials said the Holiday Clean Energy Forum would be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at Brookhaven Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill.

The free event is scheduled to run for four hours. The forum is sponsored by the town, Long Island Power Authority and Renewable Energy Long Island.

Specialists are expected to discuss technologies such as solar hot water and electric systems, energy-efficiency home upgrades and energy-efficient lighting and appliances.
