Brookhaven Town will host a screening Wednesday of the documentary “Telling Amy’s Story,” followed by a panel discussion about domestic violence.

The 2010 film, directed by Joe Myers, tells the story of Amy Homan McGee, a Pennsylvania woman who was shot to death by her husband in 2001.

The panel discussion will include members of the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Suffolk County Police Department and the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office. The event is hosted by Brookhaven’s Department of Women’s Services.

The screening and discussion will take place at 7 p.m. on the second flood of Town Hall at 1 Independence Hill in Farmingville. Admission is free.
