Brookhaven Town Supervisor Edward P. Romaine Tuesday morning will update an expected 150 business leaders about the town's economy.

The Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency will host the economic development breakfast with Romaine during the two-hour event starting at 8 a.m.

A panel of officials, along with a banker, a lawyer and a businessman, will discuss IDA tax breaks, which are used to boost Brookhaven business and create jobs, but have also stirred controversy with villages and school districts over lost tax revenue.

The breakfast is at the Courtyard by the Marriott Hotel, 5000 Express Dr. South in Ronkonkoma.
