Brookhaven Town Supervisor Edward Romaine wants to personally hear your questions, residents.

At Tuesday’s board meeting in Town Hall, Romaine announced that he will be available to talk to residents Jan. 8 at 4:30 p.m. for 20 minutes, before the day’s scheduled 5 p.m. board meeting. During what he called the “supervisor’s Q&A,” Romaine will take questions inside Town Hall’s media room on the second floor.

Each resident can submit one written question for Romaine to answer.

“I’ll read each note and give you the answer I’m best equipped to give,” he said. “This is a better way for you to ask questions.”

Romaine noted that the questions should be “noncompound.”

“It’s not going to be a debate,” he said.

If the Q&A is successful, he may replicate it for future meetings, Romaine said. “I’d like to see how it goes,” he said.

Town Hall is located at 1 Independence Hill in Farmingville.
