It's been a while since Shoreham-Wading River midfielder Trevor Brosco had his shot timed.

"About 92," he said. "I'm working on it."

Brosco's 92-mph heater was a blur Wednesday night as the senior scored seven goals, five unassisted to lead the Wildcats to a 14-4 victory over Bayport Blue-Point in the Class C Suffolk County championship at Stony Brook's LaValle Stadium.

SWR (15-3) faces Cold Spring Harbor on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hofstra for the Long Island title.

The Phantoms finished at 12-6.

"Trevor has got a rocket," SWR coach Tom Rotanz said. "He's one of the best shooters we've ever had here. Lefty or righty, he draws a double-team and he feeds back door or takes the shot."

Wednesday night, shooting mostly lefthanded, Brosco ripped home two from the perimeter in the first quarter, added another in the second on a feed from Tim Rotanz (two goals, three assists), scored two in the third, including a righthanded rocket.

He scored two more unassisted goals in the fourth.

"We were moving the ball well and I was getting some space," Brosco said. "When you're hot, you get in rhythm and you see the cage well."

Brosco will play at Notre Dame next year. "Some college kids shoot over 100," he said.

He's getting there. Rapidly.
