Bruce's HR off Halladay leads Reds
Jay Bruce hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning off Roy Halladay, rallying the host Cincinnati Reds to yet another win in their final at-bat Wednesday, 4-3, over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Joey Votto also homered off Halladay (9-7), who fell to 2-4 since his perfect game on May 29.
It was Cincinnati's 25th comeback win - most in the majors. The Reds have 14 wins in their last at-bat, tied for the major-league lead.
Braves 4, Nationals 1
Jair Jurrjens (1-3) gave up one run and had a run-scoring single for host Atlanta. Jurrjens pitched five innings in his first major league start since injuring his left hamstring on April 29.
Dodgers 8, Giants 2
Matt Kemp homered and drove in three runs, Vicente Padilla (2-2) won his 100th game and visiting Los Angeles completed a three-game sweep.
Padres 13, Rockies 3
Clayton Richard (6-4) struck out a career-high 10 and drove in two runs, and Scott Hairston hit a three-run double and had four RBIs as host San Diego avoided a three-game sweep.
Rays 9, Red Sox 4
Kelly Shoppach had a two-run double and Sean Rodriguez a three-run homer as struggling Tampa Bay pulled away with six runs in the eighth inning, ending Boston's seven-game home winning streak.
Twins 5, Tigers 1
Justin Morneau homered and drove in two runs and Kevin Slowey went six innings for host Minnesota. Slowey (8-5) left after Magglio Ordoñez's comebacker bruised his right ankle in the sixth. - AP
