The Jets squandered a 10-point lead and fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 24-16, in the preseason opener at MetLife Stadium on Friday night.

Rookie Cade Klubnik, starting for Geno Smith (foot soreness), led the Jets on two scoring drives in the only two series he played. The Jets led 10-0 when Klubnik left.
Bailey Zappe replaced Klubnik and was intercepted on his first two series, including a pick-6. Brady Cook, who started the Jets’ final four games last season, finished this one. He was 9-for-15 for 108 yards.
