Buzz Aldrin to host Monday Night Raw

WWE confirmed today that legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin will be the guest host for a special commercial-free Monday Night Raw next week, on May 17.

The show will come live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Making the night extra special, Bret "Hitman" Hart has said in recent interviews that the show will be his last scheduled appearance for WWE - and his first WWE show in his native Canada since he returned to the company in January.

In a press release, WWE official said Aldrin  - the second man ever to walk on the moon - will appear under his "official WWE name 'Rocket Hero.' " The release also suggests that Aldrin will be promoting Pres. Obama's new space policy, as well as his book "Magnificent Desolation: The Long Journey Home From the Moon," which will be released on paperback next month, and a Buzz Aldrin iPhone App available on iTunes.
