Jurors in the case of Gilberto Valle completed their first full day of deliberations Friday in federal court without reaching a verdict on charges that the NYPD officer conspired to kidnap and cannibalize women.

The jury began deliberating late on Thursday.

In notes Friday, jurors requested transcripts of the testimony of several witnesses, and instruction on what they should do if they found that no "overt act" in the alleged conspiracy occurred in the jurisdiction of the Manhattan court.

Valle, 28, was accused last year of plotting in online chats with three men to abduct and abuse women, and of misusing a police computer. He is not charged with hurting anyone, and claims that all the chats were fantasies.

The NYPD suspended him in December.
