Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano’s discussions with the Shinnecock Indian Nation over a possible deal to bring a casino to the Nassau Coliseum are all the buzz on blogs, messages boards, Facebook and Twitter, with comments generally split between support and opposition to the idea.

Some like the potential economic development benefits, some question them; others prefer Charles Wang’s long-delayed Lighthouse plan and worry that a casino would bring a "bad element" and/or potentially push Wang to move the Islanders.

Follow the comments posted on Newsday’s story and Mangano’s Facebook page, or use #Lighthouse or #Islanders on Twitter. Mangano's handle is @EdMangano.
