The venerable Cedar Beach Blues & Roots Festival will celebrate its 21st year with performances Saturday and Sunday on the beach in Mount Sinai.

In addition to the two days of music, the festival and arts fair at Cedar Beach raises scholarship money for four local high school seniors and helps fund local arts groups, including the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.

Thirty blues and roots bands from Long Island — including Lewd Buddha, the Stanton Anderson Band, Archdeacon and Jellyband — will perform on two stages.

Tickets are $5 for each day’s performances.

The schedule calls for shows to begin at noon, rain or shine.
