Craig Pinto, 33, of Mineola trained to kick 1,001 field goals inside 24 hours on Oct. 9, 2011 in the hopes of setting a new Guinness World Record. The Mineola native is founder of Kicking4Celiac, a nonprofit dedicated to fundraising for victims of celiac disease. The two-time Guinness World Record holder for field goal kicking updates nearly 300 followers about his life and upcoming events.
