Madeline Alversa was born June 19, 1912, in Manhattan. Her family moved to South Ozone Park, Queens, where Madeline met her husband, Frank. They raised seven children in Richmond Hill, Queens. After retiring in 1974, they moved to Dover Plains, where they lived for 15 years before moving to Farmingdale in 1989. Widowed in 1995, Madeline lived on her own until she was 98. She has 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Madeline lives at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester, Mass. She celebrated her birthday at her daughter's home in Westborough, Mass., with family and friends and also with a party at Notre Dame.
