There is a mixture of corporate-owned stores and “mom and pop” operations, the second being the greater majority. Many products and services fulfill most residences’ needs.
The main issue is one that is reflective of the economy nationally. We have felt the impact of a difficult economy and what is a slow recovery.
I have met many people who have networked with me and, who in turn, have referred me not exclusively for business but to be dedicated for the betterment of our community.
There are many developments planned for this community and when completed, Glen Cove will be a showcase for others to follow. Businesses will not only increase but thrive with these projects proposed.
Within all are aware, but those not familiar with Glen Cove do not know how very diversified we are, which ultimately makes all groups comfortable living side by side as one community.
Previous to establishing my career as a realtor and volunteering in so many capacities, I was actually shy and less than forthcoming. However, seeing the need in this city to help so many others has encouraged me to come forward. Volunteering has given me a voice in this community to better the city and its residents.
