Eddie Lacy ran for a touchdown and caught one of Aaron Rodgers' three TD passes, and the Packers built a 24-point halftime lead before holding off the Falcons, 43-37, Monday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Packers (10-3) earned their fifth consecutive victory to stay a game ahead of Detroit in the NFC North. Atlanta (5-8) remained in a first-place tie with New Orleans in the woeful NFC South.

Julio Jones had a career-best 259 yards receiving for the Falcons before leaving with a hip injury. Jones had a 22-yard touchdown catch in a 20-point fourth quarter that helped Atlanta cut into Green Bay's big lead.

Matt Ryan's 2-yard touchdown pass to Harry Douglas with 2:15 left got Atlanta within six.

Here's Johnny? Manziel's time may be near

After Brian Hoyer played poorly in a loss to Indianapolis, Browns coach Mike Pettine said Monday he hasn't decided to switch to rookie Johnny Manziel but "it would be natural to be leaning the other way."

Pettine was unclear on whether he already had decided to start Manziel on Sunday against the Bengals.

Cincinnati coach Marvin Lewis added spice to the situation by calling the 6-foot Manziel "a midget" in a radio interview. Lewis later apologized for the comment. In his statement, Lewis said: "It was just a poor remark. I really didn't mean anything by it."
