Chynna Phillips checks into rehab for anxiety

Chynna Phillips checked herself into rehab for anxiety this past weekend, People magazine reports.

"After much thoughtful deliberation Chynna Phillips has checked herself into an undisclosed treatment facility for anxiety," her manager Lizzie Grubman said in a statement. "With the full support of her family and friends, she is looking forward to her recovery. We ask that people respect her and her family's privacy at this time."

Phillips, 42, a member of the pop group Wilson Phillips, is the half-sister of Mackenzie Phillips, whose claims last fall about a sexual relationship with their father, John Phillips of The Mamas and the Papas, put the family in crisis.

Phillips' childhood friend Owen Elliot - daughter of the late Cass Elliot of the Mamas and the Papas - told Radar Online that she "won't comment on the reasons why she's there, but I love her and she has my undying love, support and confidentiality."

Phillips appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in September to support Mackenzie, who made the bombshell revelation that John Phillips raped her when she was 19 and that she later began a consensual sexual relationship for several years.

"I pray that we all get closer through this crisis," Chynna said at the time. "With prayer, anything is possible. But I would be lying to you if I didn't tell you that there are going to be some huge obstacles in front of us."

A source told Us Weekly that Mackenzie's revelations of incest are what have caused Phillips such stress. "She needs to rest because of it. Mackenzie's admission took a toll on her and the whole family."

Phillips is married to former "Dirty Sexy Money" star William Baldwin, and they have three kids. Last fall, she released her first album in years, "One Reason," with Vaughan Penn.
