Erica Uribe, 45, of Montauk, was climbing on a 12-foot snow berm behind a shopping center in East Hampton to take a minute to play in the snow.
“We’re having a lot of fun and take life as it is and enjoy all four seasons,” she said.
Uribe, an EMT in Montauk, said she returned from Ecuador just before the blizzard. She said she did not lose power and checked on her neighbors during the storm.
“I was afraid of losing power as an EMT. We worried about the roads and needing to get to people,” Uribe said. "The roads are not as great as would like them to be. It was scary at first and hope everyone is safe. We didn't lose power, but I know a lot of people got it back.”
