Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano’s Veterans Services Agency will partner with ASR International Corp., a Long Island company, to assist local veterans in using the skills gained during military service to find jobs back home.
“My administration has worked tirelessly to support local and returning veterans in Nassau County,” Mangano said. “I commend [the company] for providing free training and orientation services to local veterans ... to explore different career paths.”
The free job training and orientation service is aimed at preparing veterans for careers in technical and engineering fields, including inspection services, quality assurance/control, construction, manufacturing, security, finance, information technology (IT) and safety.
Veterans interested in this opportunity should email their resumes to top@asrintl.com. Applicants will be contacted, assessed briefly over the telephone and provided an email link to use the ASR training portal. No personal information will be requested and no commitment need be given.
