Coats, sweaters sought for those in need

Suffolk County Legis. Sarah Anker (D-Mount Sinai) is hosting a coat drive for needy county families.
“In addition to coats, donated items may include new or gently used sweaters, sweatshirts and blankets,” Anker said in a statement.
Items can be dropped at Anker’s Mount Sinai office, 620 Rte. 25A, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The last day for donations is next Wednesday.
Anker is partnering on the coat drive with the nonprofit group Every Child’s Dream.
The coat drive will provide “warm clothing for the winter months” to more than 400 Suffolk families, Anker said in a statement.
