Kelly Vassallo scored 13 points and Katie Durand scored 11 points as No. 2 Cold Spring Harbor defeated top-seeded Carle Place, 38-36, this afternoon in the Nassau Class B finals at C.W. Post.

Vassallo scored with less than three minutes left to give Cold Spring Harbor (16-3) a 38-34 lead. Cold Spring Harbor will play Friends Academy in the BC championship game on March 5. Then Cold Spring Harbor will play the winner of Center Moriches-Wyandanch in the Long Island Class B championship on March 8.

It was the fourth time the teams met this season with each team winning twice. Samantha Burden scored 13 points and Dana McLaughlin added 11 for Carle Place (16-3), which lost in the finals for the second consecutive season.
