Senior Ashley Cole pitched a perfect game with 15 strikeouts to lead Carle Place over Glen Cove, 4-0, in Nassau Conference ABC-II softball Thursday. It is the first perfect game in the 16-year history of Carle Place's softball program, according to coach Chris Ceruti.

Cole (15-2) has had more than 10 strikeouts in 12 games. This is the 11th shutout of the season for Cole, who averages 13 strikeouts, and has walked only seven this season. She also has a no-hitter and three one-hitters on the season.

Tori Hytell went 2-for-4 with a double, triple and three RBIs for the Frogs (10-1).

Connetquot 12, Central Islip 1: Junior Kaitlin Muhlenforth threw her first career no-hitter with six strikeouts and four walks to lead Connetquot (9-4) in Suffolk League II.

Syosset 1, Massapequa 0: Jen Pizzo scored on Paula Janowsky's double in the bottom of the fifth to break a scoreless tie for Syosset (3-7) in Conference AA-I. Janowsky threw a two-hitter with no walks and eight strikeouts for the win.Uniondale 12, Elmont 10: Alecia Lebby went 2-for-3 with a grand slam and five RBIs and Breanna Irizarry went 4-for-4 with two RBIs for Uniondale (7-3) in Conference AA-III.

New Hyde Park 3, Seaford 2: Lisa Pellegrino scored on an RBI double by Kayla Robinson in the bottom of the sixth and Geena Fornataro had a two-run double for New Hyde Park (4-6) in Conference ABC-I.

Wheatley 10, Lawrence 0: Rebecca Braito went 4-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs to lead Wheatley (9-0) in Conference ABC-V. Holly Albro went 3-for-4 with an RBI and threw a shutout with 10 strikeouts.

Harborfields 4, Comsewogue 3: Caroline Semmelmeir hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to win the game for Harborfields (2-10) in League V. Kaitlin Adair went 3-for-3 with an RBI.

Islip 2, Huntington 1: Vanessa Juengerkes' sixth-inning triple drove in Faith Laudano for Islip (12-2) in League V. Erika Colangelo pitched a complete game with three strikeouts.

Kellenberg 2, St. Anthony's 1: Caitlin Kennedy pitched five innings, allowing one run and four hits to earn the win for Kellenberg (18-0, 15-0) in CHSAA. Susan Pardo got the save, pitching two innings with no hits, a walk and two strikeouts. Stephanie Staiano drove in the deciding run on a fielder's choice in the first inning. Aileen Reilly pitched a two-hitter for St. Anthony's with 11 strikeouts.

St. John the Baptist 5, Our Lady of Mercy 4: Tied at 4 in the bottom of the eighth, Liz Antonucci hit a walk-off single to score Laura Quicker from second base and give St. John the Baptist (12-5) the win in CHSAA. Mallory McClafferty went 1-for-4 with a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game and send it into extra innings.

BASEBALL

Connetquot 2, Smithtown West 1: With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Mike Rizzitello singled in Casey Baker to win the game for Connetquot (15-2) in non-league.

Eastport-South Manor 4, Deer Park 0: Dalton McCarthy pitched a two-hitter with no walks and 11 strikeouts to lead Eastport-South Manor (16-1) in League V. Niko Bedell went 2-for-4 with an RBI.Port Jefferson 5, Smithtown Christian 4: Senior captain Joe Gerbino had a walk-off base hit in the bottom of the seventh inning to score Mark Accardo and lead Port Jefferson (9-7) in League IX. Gerbino finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs, including a three-run home run in the bottom of the third inning, to give Port Jefferson a 3-2 lead.South Side 2, Division 0: Ed Farington pitched a five-hit shutout with three strikeouts to lead South Side (10-4) in Conference A-II. Ben Felderstin hit a sacrifice fly with one out in the top of the seventh to score Ed Tammaro for South Side's first run and Farington (2-for-3) singled home Lou Laupheimer for the insurance run.Cold Spring Harbor 2, Locust Valley 1: Evan Solomon hit a one-out, walk-off single to score Mark Hendel and win it for Cold Spring Harbor (13-1) in Conference B/C. Matt Grosso pitched eight innings of three-hit ball with five strikeouts for the Seahawks.

Farmingdale 18, Port Washington 6: Kim Kolodny had seven goals and one assist to lead Farmingdale (9-0) in Conference I.Garden City 14, Wantagh 10: Alexandra Bruno scored six goals with an assist to lead Garden City (9-3, 8-0) in Conference B-I.Ward Melville 11, East Islip 10: Kelsey Nagle had three goals and two assists, including one to Emily Rogers-Healion (two goals, one assist) with 5:48 left to make it 11-8 for Ward Melville (12-0) in Division I.Northport 19, West Islip 8: Allie Pavinelli had a career-high six goals and added four assists to lead Northport (9-3) in Division I.BOYS LACROSSE
