Peterson: I smoked pot
Texas prosecutors said Vikings star Adrian Peterson should be arrested again after admitting Wednesday at a court appearance that he had "smoked a little weed" while out on bond.
The Montgomery County district attorney's office said Peterson allegedly told a worker conducting his urinalysis exam that he had smoked marijuana. Bond terms typically forbid using illegal drugs.
Peterson is free on a $15,000 bond after being indicted last month on a felony charge of injury to a child for using a wooden switch to discipline his 4-year-old son.
Laser pointer ID'ed, barred
The Lions barred a 17-year-old from all Ford Field events for using a laser pointer at Sunday's game against the Bills. Detroit city attorney Melvin Hollowell said the alleged offender will be ticketed for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
Kaepernick fined $10,000
Colin Kaepernick said the NFL fined him $10,000 for wearing pink headphones made by "Beats by Dre" after Sunday's game. The 49ers quarterback has an endorsement deal with Beats, but the league's contract is with Bose.
