No pitcher has ever thrown three consecutive no-hitters on the high school level in Long Island history. Riverhead senior Matt Crohan will try to accomplish that Tuesday when he takes the mound at Copiague in a 4 p.m. start.
The lefthander started the season by throwing back-to-back no-hitters against East Islip and Centereach in Suffolk's League IV. He has 33 strikeouts and eight walks through 14 innings.
