After being closed for more than a year, the renovated Commack library branch reopened to the public Thursday at 10 a.m., Smithtown library officials said.

The Kings Park branch will immediately close for renovations.

The renovations are part of a $21-million project to upgrade the three existing branches and build a new branch in Nesconset at the former National Guard armory site.
