A Huntington man who pocket-dialed 911 was arrested in Connecticut Wednesday after he was recorded threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend's father, Fairfield police said.

Dennis Gannon Jr., 20, a student at Fairfield University, inadvertently dialed 911 while arguing with his ex-girlfriend in a car in front of his Fairfield home, Sgt. Suzanne Lussier said.

Gannon, whose permanent address is 224 Cuba Hill Rd., Huntington, denied calling the police, even though the line was still open when officers arrived on scene, Lussier said.

"We get accidental calls from kids and dropped calls from the highway," Lussier said, "but I can't remember an accidental call of a criminal matter."

Gannon was charged with one count of breach of peace. He was released on his own recognizance.
