Cops probe reported Huntington Station home invasion

Two masked gunmen broke into the basement of a Huntington Station home early Monday and were involved in a confrontation with at least one of the residents, according to a 911 call to Suffolk County police.

Police said the incident is being investigated. They declined to immediately comment on the circumstances surrounding the alleged home invasion - or say if anyone had been arrested.

The 911 call was received at about 12:30 a.m., police said.

Officers responded to a home on Seventh Avenue near West 19th Street, police said.

According to the call log police said the complainant said their 21-year-old son was being assaulted - and that two men with masks and guns had entered the home through the basement. The caller said five men - three of whom are believed to be brothers living in the home - were involved in an altercation.

No other details were immediately available.
