Shots were fired in the direction of the offices of a Garden City law firm Monday, Nassau police said.

No one was injured at the firm of Barket, Marion, Epstein and Kearon, police said, although the offices were occupied at the time.

The shots were fired from an unknown type of weapon or weapons, police said, striking the office windows on the seventh floor at 666 Old Country Rd. about 5:40 p.m. The shots shattered one window and left a hole consistent with a gunshot in another, police said.

Final determination as to whether the shots were from a gun or guns, or from some other device was still under investigation, police said.

Detectives asked that anyone with information contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
