Matt Cahill had singled in Danny Farina to tie the score at 9 in the seventh for the Flaming Arrows (2-2). Kurt Robinson struck out seven in four no-hit innings of relief to earn the win. He induced a double play to escape a bases-loaded jam in the eighth. Luke Leonardi went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs for Sachem North.

Connetquot 6, Northport 5: Mike Rizzitello went 1-for-2 with three RBIs for Connetquot (4-1) in League II. Sam Huntington's RBI single gave the T-Birds a 6-3 lead in the top of the seventh.

East Rockaway 11, Malverne 10: Mike Lores hit a walk-off two-run single in the eighth inning for East Rockaway in Conference BC. Joe Lores pitched the final three innings, allowing two unearned runs, to get the win.

Clarke 2, Island Trees 0: Chris Appell pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead Clarke in a Conference A-V/VI crossover. Joe Fusco hit a two-run double in the third.

Holy Trinity 3, Chaminade 1: Alex Robinson pitched a two-hitter with 16 strikeouts to lead Holy Trinity in CHSAA. Jack Parenty had a homer and two RBIs.

SOFTBALL

Floral Park 3, New Hyde Park 1: Samantha Giovanniello threw a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and hit a solo homer for Floral Park in ABC-I.

West Islip 3, Half Hollow Hills West 2: Kayla Vallinoto scored on Chelsea Weir's squeeze with one out in the bottom of the eighth to win it for West Islip in non-league. Alyssa Monteverde (3-for-4) allowed five hits and struck out eight in the win.

BOYS LACROSSE

Wheatley/Carle Place 9, Herricks 8: Greg Carlin scored the winner 50 seconds into overtime for Wheatley/Carle Place in Conference B-I. Carlin had also tied it at 8 with three minutes left in regulation.

Half Hollow Hills West 11, Connetquot 7: Andrew McAlpine had three goals and an assist for Hills West in Division I.

Ward Melville 14, Yorktown 7: Kelsey Nagle had four goals and an assist for Ward Melville (5-0) in non-league. Emily Rogers-Healion and Kelsey Catalano each added three goals.

Eastport-South Manor 13, Rocky Point 9: Marissa Gurello had five goals and Samantha Giacolone made 16 saves for ESM (5-0) in Division II.
