The Crossroads Farm at the historic Grossmann’s Farm in Malverne Village will be opened this weekend in celebration of Memorial Day.

Locally grown fruits and vegetables, bedding plants, gourmet food items and baked goods will be available at the century-old farm on Hempstead Avenue. The 5.2-acre vegetable farm will be open today from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday from noon to 4 p.m.

Nassau County acquired the formerly family-owned Grossman’s Farm in 2010 for $6.5 million through the county’s Environmental Bond Act. The county, in partnership with Nassau Land Trust, manages the farm as part of the “Grown on Long Island” campaign.

For more information, email the farm at farmstand@nassaulandtrust.org or call 516-881-7900.
