Nassau County Legis. Laura Curran (D-Baldwin) and members of New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s cabinet will offer a presentation on Cuomo’s 2014 budget and legislative agenda at 2 p.m. Friday in the Freeport Memorial Library.

“This will be a great opportunity for residents to learn more about the governor’s plans, and to ask questions about it as well,” said Curran, who was elected to the county Legislature in November.

Cuomo has said his agenda “will grow the economy and provide fiscal relief to taxpayers, give our schools the classrooms of tomorrow, reimagine infrastructure across the state and take steps to make our communities safer, fairer, cleaner and more progressive.”

State Commissioner of Labor Peter Rivera is scheduled to speak at Friday’s event.
While the presentation is free, attendees should register, beginning at 1:45 p.m. The library is at 144 W. Merrick Rd. RSVP to marianela.jordan@exec.ny.gov. For more information, call 516-317-4064.
