After giving a "can't-we-just-get-along" speech in Albany on Thursday that called for unity and cooperation on the Sandy recovery effort, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo held a press event with LI pols, seating himself in the center between the Nassau and Suffolk county executives.

Cuomo got a chuckle out of both Edward Mangano and Steve Bellone when he praised their cooperative efforts, and noted that there was no absence of Long Island regional cooperation when its leaders need Albany's help.

"It's very often that I'm the victim when they team up," Cuomo quipped. "It's the Nassau-Suffolk coalition against the poor governor."
