The Huntington Town board has adopted an e-waste disposal program.

Residents, under the program approved at Tuesday night’s board meeting, can now call the town for curbside pickup of their electronic waste such as laptops, desktops, tablets, e-readers, televisions and cathode ray tubes.

To make arrangements for a pickup, residents can call 631-351-3239. Instructions on how to erase the contents of computer hard drives are also available.

Residents still can bring electronic waste to the town’s recycling center at 641 New York Ave. between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
