Cutchogue Lions Club car show heads up road

The Cutchogue Lions Club is changing the venue for its annual classic car show after 20 years.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Peconic Bay Winery, 31320 Main Rd., Cutchogue. The rain date is July 15.
Admission is $5, and children younger than 12 are admitted free. The event was held in past years at the Capital One parking lot on Route 25 in Mattituck.
Preregistration has passed, but classic car participants can pay $20 on the day of the show. Vehicles newer than 1987 cannot enter unless there is a special interest. The registration allows one driver and one passenger. All others pay $5.
Judging will end at noon, and trophies will be awarded between 3 and 3:30 p.m. Last year, there were more than 250 cars, and 50 trophies awarded, according to the Cutchogue Lions Club website. — Stacey Altherr
