Cyndi Lauper to appear at Hamptons art gallery

If you’d like to see Cyndi Lauper up close and personal before her concert at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center Saturday night — she’s also appearing there Friday night — check out the art gallery just across the street.

Galerie BelAge, currently hosting the fifth annual "Outsider Art in the Hamptons" exhibit, will present Lauper with an artwork in recognition of her efforts in helping with housing for gay, lesbian and transgender youth in New York City.

She’s expected to be at the gallery sometime between 5 and 7 p.m. Saturday, says co-curator Bob Deets, who was once Lauper’s personal assistant.
