Davis Park water OK to drink

The water supply in Davis Park is now safe to drink, becoming the last area on Fire Island to have service restored, the Suffolk County Water Authority announced Thursday.
As a precautionary measure, residents returning to Fire Island should run their water for 10 to 15 minutes before drinking.
Residents with questions about their water supply can call the authority at 631-698-9500.
