Suffering from cabin fever? Here's a day trip that will get you out of the house and make you think.
Cold Spring Harbor Library and Environmental Center is organizing an outing to view a new exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. "War/Photography" includes images from wars and conflicts taken by 255 photographers during the past 166 years.
The cost of the trip is $85 ($78 for veterans or active military members), which includes bus transportation, admission to the exhibit and a catered lunch. At the museum there will be free admission to "War Is Personal," a live performance illustrating the human cost of war.
The bus leaves from the library at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 24 and returns to Long Island by 7 p.m. Registration, along with payment, must be made by Thursday. For more information call 631-692-6820. To download a registration form, go to cshlibrary.org.
