Dense fog advisory for Long Island Saturday night into Sunday morning, weather service says

A dense fog advisory is in effect for Long Island from 9 p.m. Saturday until 9 a.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Visibilities are expected to be a quarter mile or less at times, the service said.

Sunday morning, Mother's Day, is expected to be mostly cloudy before it gradually becomes sunny, with highs in the mid-70s and the wind in the 7 to 14 mph range, forecasters said.
